What is Ô?

- Ô Open Universe is a project of creation of an open persistant universe. Ô hosts the creation on an evolutive and collaborative online video game and all its artistic and technical works.

Why create an Open Universe ?

- So this universe will never be frozen, Ô remains opened to its community contributions. That's why we keep the main part of source code (GPL) and the media (CC) available to contributors.

How to contribute to the project ?

- The project is still under internal development for the moment. In other words, to participate you will have first to contact the Silmaris association's members (info).

As soon as there is a stable version of the project available you will be able to contribute freely to its improvement by adding to its source code as well as its media.

- The first demo is under development : Western, colts, duels and saloon brawls.

- IA's first steps. The pathfinding is under way...

- Open source graphics engines are being compared (Ogre3D, Irrlicht).

- Our first client communicates with the server.

- The 14 civilizations have been created along with their people, creatures and mythology.
